Welcome to "The Collie Eye". This site is intended as a resource for owners and breeders of the dog breeds affected by Collie Eye Anomaly.

CEA doesn't just affect Rough Collies - if you have a Rough or Smooth Collie, Border Collie, Shetland Sheepdog, Australian Shepherd, Lancashire Heeler or Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, this information may be of interest to you. Recent genetic developments are adding new breeds to the affected list quite regularly.

CEA is an inherited eye condition which in its severe forms can cause blindness in affected dogs. Mildly affected dogs may have apparently normal sight.

Please explore the website for more information about the condition, and how it might affect you and your dogs.
